While sites that invite you to download their software can often be a little disconcerting, the package at Ruby Bingo appears to be worth the effort. The absence of an instant play option means that players have to go through a slightly extended registration process but once this phase is completed, the site is a genuine breeze to use.

The site itself is vibrant, colourful and appealing. Unfortunately, it also boasts a large number of spelling mistakes which detract from an otherwise professional look. A little more dedication to detail would certainly make the overall feel more positive.

Newcomers to Ruby Bingo fair reasonably well and the site offers a free £5 bonus as part of the ‘Try Before You Buy’ promotion. It’s not as high as other no-deposit bonuses but it’s still free Bingo and gives players a great chance to sample the site. From there, Ruby Bingo reward first-time deposits with a reasonably generous 125% bonus up to a maximum of £125. It’s not out of this world and there are many sites offering much better deals but it’s still a respectable offer that shouldn’t be sniffed at. There are no reload bonuses available at the current time.

The software is smooth and works fairly well but there are a few quirks that make it a little frustrating compared to other Bingo options. One of the most noticeable of these is the inability to buy individual tickets and players can only purchase full strips. Even then, players cannot mix and match their tickets from different strips. Players that buy multiple strips must also struggle through to find their tickets as games progress as the software doesn’t bring potential winning tickets to the top of the parlay listing like most other sites.

Prize money at Ruby bingo is a little on the low side although the weekly guaranteed games offer some good chances to win respectable Jackpot prizes. Unfortunately, the day-to-day games on the site fail to attract large numbers and prizes remain low even during peak times.

Community spirit is very good which owes much to players knowing each other quite well due to the low membership level of the site. Hosts run the usual chat games and Ruby Bingo also offers a good range of additional features including roulette, slot machines and video poker.

Deposit and withdrawal options are trouble-free and support on the site is reasonably extensive.
Although Ruby Bingo still has some way to go before it catches up with its rivals, the basics are still very good. Once membership levels rise, there’s every chance that the lack of professionalism and annoying features will be addressed.
